Adding to the quality, this EF 85mm f/1.4 uses a glass-molded aspherical lens and Air Sphere Coating (ASC) that reduce lens flare and ghosting while shooting in less than ideal lighting conditions.
A minimum focusing distance of only 33.5 inches (85cm) makes the EF 85mm f/1.4 a perfect choice for headshots, and close-up detail work. Combined with a fast, quiet AF system that utilizes a USM (Ultrasonic Motor), high-speed CPU and advanced auto-focus algorithms, it will give you the confidence to capture every intimate shot. A full-time manual focus override provides even more control over your composition.

It is dust and weather-sealed at the switch, rings and mount, providing protection while exposed to the elements. Canon’s L-Series lenses also use a fluorine coating on lens elements to reduce smudging and fingerprints, allowing a simple wipe with a dry cloth to ensure your images are always clear.
